About Sarah

Sarah Keel is a follower of Jesus Christ, a wife to Jonathan, and a mother to Avery, Zackery, and Benjamin. Sarah did not grow up in a Christian home, but became a believer while incarcerated for multiple DUIs and probation violations at age 19. From age 12 to 19 years old, Sarah was in and out of group homes, jail, and treatment, but it wasn't until she believed in Christ that she truly felt freedom, and her life was changed forever.

However, surrendering to Christ in jail was only the first leg of her journey walking with Christ. It was after a severe battle of depression and anxiety in 2018 (nearly 10 years after becoming a Christian) that Sarah needed to answer some of her deepest philosophical and theological questions she had never confronted. Even though this was one of the toughest experiences of her life, that 2018-2019 battle of depression launched her into a new love for Christian philosophy, theology, and apologetics. It was this depression that Sarah realized Christ could handle her difficult questions, and many of her mental battles were her own worldview issues.

This sparked a strong desire in Sarah to help people just like her - those who deal with deep philosophical and theological questions, as well as make a defense for the truthfulness of Christ and His Gospel.

She currently resides in Tennessee and has worked in the mental health and addiction recovery industry for 15 years. She has worked for the State of TN and served as the Founding Executive Director of Renew Clinic in Knoxville, TN, a Christ-centered intensive outpatient treatment center, from 2020 to 2025. She now serves as the Executive Director of the Women's Division at S2L Recovery in Middle TN, where she directs the women's inpatient treatment arm of S2L.

Sarah has her B.A. in Applied Behavioral Science and an M.A. in Applied Apologetics, with an emphasis in Global Apologetics, where she studied the Christian response to Islam and Eastern Religions. She is a Transformational Leadership Trainer and a Recovery Coach Trainer, and has led international mission teams to support recovery ministries overseas.
